Whether your candle is in a glass, tin or even an enamel mug, this quick guide will allow you to remove any remaining wax with ease! Gone are the days of attempting to put candles in the freezer and smashing out frozen wax!
.
We’ve used our Cairngorms Enamel Mug candle for this example, but this process will work just as well with any other container type.
.
STEP 1
With only a little wax remaining, fill your candle with boiling water. This will melt the wax and as you wait for the water to cool it will resolidify at the top of the candle vessel!
.
STEP 2
After the water has cooled, you’ll be able to simply lift out the wax floating at the top of the vessel. (Speed up the cooling by popping the candle in the fridge)
.
STEP 3
Give the vessel a good hand wash in hot soapy water to remove any remaining wax. Job done and candle container ready for reuse!
